Welcome to the latest revision of darrenjew.com . It’s about 9 years since the first incarnation of the site went live, and this renovation represents a huge step forward in site functionality.
Since the outset, my site has been designed, developed, maintained and enhanced together with Pasi Ihalainen from iTank . For visitors familiar with my old site, the look and feel will be familiar, but the functionality has been enhanced.
The new site incorporates PhotoShelter, to manage my photo resources, and WordPress for management of the rest of the site. Pasi has done a great job integrating the two platforms, which should make it easy for me to quickly update both picture and word content.
New additions include on-line transactions for purchasing prints and products; on-line quoting and high resolution downloads for stock image purchases; an enhanced Journal with a feed from my photo blog; information on workshops and tours I’m hosting; and much more.
A couple of nice features incorporated into the site’s footer are the NiO PhotoShelter RSS Gallery (showing the latest additions to my archive) and The NiO Dual Search, allowing a quick search of images or text. Both widgets are from Johan Peijnenburg of Nio photography .
